BANKING / INDUSTRY

Keep physical assets accounted for across sites.

Branch and operations teams manage equipment that changes location and ownership. A useful project starts with a verified asset record and a clear handover process, then chooses the capture method.

Three operational starting points

Focus first on equipment and facility workflows that can be assessed against the bank’s asset register and access policy.

Verify branch equipment

Select a manageable group of IT or facilities devices. Give each item an identity and compare physical checks against the bank’s approved asset register.

Record transfers and handovers

Define who releases, receives and confirms a device when it moves between rooms, branches or service teams. Capture exceptions instead of treating every read as a completed transfer.

Review access at designated areas

For a facility project, identify doors or zones that need an access event. Assess the existing policy, permissions and systems before choosing readers or cameras.

Match identification to the control

Barcode supports deliberate item-by-item checks. RFID can be assessed when tagged equipment must be counted in groups or at planned checkpoints. Access control and CCTV address different questions; neither replaces the asset register or the bank’s approval process.

  • Agree asset ownership, serial numbers and the register to reconcile before selecting devices.
  • Define which movements require a human confirmation and an audit trail.
  • Review network, security and data-handling requirements with the bank’s responsible teams.

These routes describe TUDI’s general offerings; suitability for a specific bank needs assessment.

What to define before a pilot

Start with one asset class and one site or transfer route.

  • Which physical assets are in scope, and how are they recorded today?
  • What event proves a transfer is complete, and who approves it?
  • Which bank policies govern site access, supplier connection and retained data?

Scope a physical-asset workflow.

Share the asset class, locations and current register so the project can be assessed without assuming a technology.
